"Crunchy Munchy" Mix

A snack mix that not only satisfies your cravings for something sweet, salty, and crunchy, but also is high in protein that will keep you filled until the next meal. Pack ahead of time in reusable containers (I found a new use for my old baby food freezer containers) so you can grab it on the go or for at home when you just don't feel like preparing a healthy snack and start reaching for that bag of potato chips.
I like to eat this mix in the evening with a cup of tea. It is a healthier alternative to wine, popcorn, and chocolates which I find hard to resist after a long day taking care of my two young children. When I have these pre-packed in my pantry, I find it easier to remember my goals and choose right. "Crunchy Munchy" Mix, chamomile tea, light a candle and relax with a book or my favorite show and I sleep better and am ready to go the next morning. It also keeps me filled all night, even on those nights when I am woken by one of my kids who is having trouble sleeping.
I created this mix as an alternative to 100 calorie packs which are never filling enough for my plan of eating small meals and snacks around 300 calories each throughout the day. It is also more cost effective especially if you buy each ingredient in bulk. Feel free to substitute ingredients and create your own version of this snack mix!
"CRUNCY MUNCHY" MIX INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 tbsp (about 20 pieces) dry roasted peanuts
- 10 whole natural almonds
- 8 Skinny Dipped dark chocolate almonds
- 4 peanut butter M&Ms
