Always a crowd pleaser - here is my recipe for classic guacamole. So much tastier and fresher than pre-made guacamoles from the store. Also, making a big batch of this for a large group is cheaper than buying multiple pre-made containers.
My secret to getting the best flavor is to add a lot of fresh ground pepper! And only use fresh cilantro, not dried. If possible, make this the same day you will be serving to avoid any browning. If you don't have much time the day of, then I recommend chopping the tomato, red onion, and cilantro the day before.
To store, place guacamole in a container, cover the very top of the guacamole with plastic wrap and then place the lid on. The idea is to have little to no air around the guacamole to prevent as much browning as possible. If any brown appears when ready to eat, just scrape off the top layer.
The safest way to cut an avocado is with a 3-in-1 avocado slicer. I eat a lot of avocados so I highly recommend investing in one of these slicers to avoid any injuries with a knife!
