This is my creative take on the classic Caesar salad. Here are two variations of this salad - the way my husband prefers it and the way I wanted it. These variations show that meal prepping jar salads is versatile and ingredients can be taken out or added to cater to your preferences.

I added kale with the romaine for an extra crunch and for it nutritional benefits. In place of the croutons, pine nuts are used which gives the salad a nice flavor. I have found to prefer this over the croutons.

The "His" version has bacon added (my husband will eat anything if it has bacon) and carrots. In the "Hers" version, there are red bell peppers and red onions, which are two of my favorite vegetables to have in salads. I also cut back a bit on the dressing as I don't like an overly dressed salad and it saves some calories!

These salads have quickly become mine and my husband's favorites! All the ingredients come together perfectly and we look forward to eating this salad each day without getting tired of it. It's easy to eat healthy when the food tastes this good! Create one or both of these salads or make it your own and try adding your favorite ingredients!
